Our service points of presence include the six major centres of Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, Pretoria, and Bloemfontein. These support capabilities extend beyond South Africa’s borders into a number of African countries. These include as Lesotho, Swaziland, Angola, DRC, Nigeria, Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique, Mauritius, Madagascar, and Kenya. In conjunction with our sister companies in the Altron Group, this extends to Botswana and Namibia, among others.

Our broad geographic coverage and service points of presence enable us to deliver comprehensive hardware and software maintenance services as well as project management support to many blue chip corporate clients operating in the retail, financial, insurance, industrial, government and SOE sectors.

Service points of presence are created on a dynamic basis where feasible, to closely match the business requirements of our customers. As a product agnostic organisation, we are able to support a wide variety of equipment in accordance with customer agreed service levels.

With an extensive background in electronic and electromechanical repair, our engineers have the ability to test and repair a wide array of equipment including ATM modules, point of sale equipment, EUC equipment, printed circuit boards, kiosk modules, telecommunication equipment, and other self-service device parts.

Over 70 dedicated rework technicians perform an average of 93 000 sub assembly repairs each year. This ensures that service costs are minimised and where economies of scale dictate, we will outsource the repair of selected units to gain optimum cost efficiencies. We further optimise a number of programs to assist our clients with extending the usable life of their IT assets to improve ROI. This service has been provided successfully to major banks and retailers over the years, and has a proven track record of quality and reliability.

Comprehensive range

Pre-Staging Services

Our highly skilled pre-stage team provides a comprehensive range of staging services across financial, retail and desktop platforms:

  • A dedicated staging area in our Johannesburg office setup with 162 LAN points isolated from the organisations network. Configured with 66 points connected to workbenches, 48 secured LAN to WAN points and 48 mobile LAN points.
  • We perform image replication and software loading on all brands of back office or administration machines (Desktop computers and Laptops).
  • Our range of trained pre-stage engineers with support from our software engineer, hardware and systems implementer are skilled to complete any imaging task required.
  • Selby staging load capabilities are over 450 POS lanes per month:
    • 260 large configurations (13 Stores x 20 Lanes) • 192 small configurations (13 Stores x 20 Lanes)
    • Our remote site capabilities are over 190 POS lanes per month
  • Our software replication department has the capability to replicate high volumes of USB Flash Drives, DVD, CD Media and HDD (2.5” & 3.5”).
  • We specialise in ATMs, Kiosks, Teller Cash Recyclers (TCR) and Cash Vaults.
  • We engage with our clients on customised solutions including personalised and customised branding and customer specific add-ons.
  • Every device that passes through our pre-stage department undergoes high level testing. This includes the loading and configuration of the software application ensuring the system is 100% functional on site after installation.

A collaborative transportation management model (CTMM) is integrated into our supply chain, as we engage from planning to execution. This fits with our business culture of collaborating with our partners, thereby covering the geographic spread of our customers at a regional, national and international level.

Integration is essential for effective supply chain management. By fully integrating Astea Service Alliance into the demand-driven replenishment of warehouses and optimisation of inventory using the forecasting tool. Altron Managed Solutions is able to proactively manage and allocate resources to enable full life cycle (forward and reverse) management to meet the SLA demands of our customers.
